Legatoria LEM was born out of a magnificent and very practical dream: to produce books in series that would have at once the same high-quality care of master craftsmen and be the product of the most advanced technology of mass production - wonderful books, ones to be treasured. With this aim, the company was founded by Leonida Griggio in 1969 on the same incredible day in which Man reached one of his most important goals – to land on the moon! From that moment, LEM has taken on every challenge with the same determination and passion as on that first day, applying High-Tech. know-how of craft production processes and materials to the high quality standards of mechanised production, including books in large format.
The company’s slogan of “close to the moon” is a reminder that the moon isn’t all that far anymore; it’s enough to believe and have a reliable and creative travelling companion, one who is always ready to do what is possible to satisfy our wishes.
